Some Notes about the Echoes of Nature - LaserLight series of Audio CDs. |
- These
are primarily good as ambient sounds. Based on
those that I have heard, I won't recommend them
for meditation. If some one would like to recommend
a particular CD for meditation, please do so and
it will be appropriately marked.
- There
are many titles. Covers for multi-CD sets are
not represented.
- Some
titles are also available on cassette tape, but
"Buy the CD at Amazon" links are only
provided for the CD version.
- The
content is NOT raw "Nature Sound", meaning
the material has been produced/compiled or "mixed"
from original recorded sources. Eg: as a result
it can sound more like sitting in a zoo, than
sitting in a forest.
- Application: If you live in a city apartment or similar and
do not have the opportunity to get out and personally
connect with nature, these audio products may
serve to remind you, that maybe you should! If
you live in the country or outer 'burbs"
you may find them less enticing (go for the Ocean
sounds instead :-)
- As
a definite plus, they are relatively inexpensive
CDs, are well produced, generally pleasant and
unobtrusive.
